Biography
Nicoletta Gauci is a unique blend of Los Angeles native with European flair. Though she was raised amid the same shiny Hollywood lights that lit up the faces of Marilyn and Bridget, her attraction for high fashion and glamour was born from her strong Italian upbringing.
She received formal artistic training first from the Academy of Art University where the very different worlds of art principle, application, and business would first collide. This now even-stronger foundation outlined a path that would follow the brazen footsteps of her relatives and take her to new depths as a hair stylist.
Since then, Nicoletta has ridden the non-stop roller coaster that is the high-fashion industry and has loved every second of it. Thanks to a strong line of fundamental training, most notably from the Paul Mitchell School, and a continual thirst for education and experience, she has been able to achieve great heights early in her career.
Her first great opportunity was assisting Paul Mitchell Editorial Director, Lucie Doughty, on a naha shoot. The ease with which this allowed her to mesh her talents and passions ultimately fine-tuned her goals and she never looked back. Since then, Lucie Doughty has become more than a mentor, but a life-long teacher and friend.
Nicoletta has styled hair for numerous editorial and beauty shoots as well as for celebrity personalities and marketing campaigns. Her work has also taken her into the world of art direction for magazine submissions. She has a flourishing clientele at Rouge Studio and a soon-to-come blog targeted to both industry professionals as well as give the client an insider’s look to the artistic side of the industry. She is determined to leave her mark on the beauty industry with a smile on her face and a brush in her hand. {La Dolce Vita}
